Studio One 4.5 is now available from PreSonus. Studio One 4.5 update comes with over 70 new features and improvements which promises a faster workflow and much more. Especially hard work was done to improve the CPU load. The multicore engine runs better and that brings up to 70 percent less for native plug-ins and up to 50 percent less CPU load. Remove the user.license file from your machine and remove the activation for that computer from your my.presonus.com account. You can then activate again. Here are instructions for Windows and Mac respectively: Windows: a. Open Studio One and go to HelpOpen Settings folder. Close Studio One with the settings folder open. There is a problem in Studio One, it can't split CPU usage on all cores for a certain VST. For example, Serum, which can be quite CPU intensive, can load one core to 100% and Studio One will act as if CPU is fully loaded. In your case, if you check closely in Task Manager it will show you one of the cores fully loaded.
